About

Welcome, humble reader, to The Capital L!

I am Savitrii Jay, or Sav for short.  I am the grand mastermind behind this whole business.

My mother says I like attention. So does my husband CK.  Whatever.  They’re totally not even … hey .. HEY!  Get offa CK’s link! Look back over here at me!!!!

Nowadays, I often relinquish the spotlight to our son Chip. He was tanner than me before he ever saw sun, and he rocks jungle animal jumpers like a boss.

Aside from the obvious things like family and a good pair of stilettos, I love hiking around Southern Utah, dancing, brains, murder mysteries, roller coasters, extra salt, satire, thunderstorms, Shakespeare, climbing on things, being right, inane Youtube videos, neuropathology, existentialism, laughing until I cry, Star Wars, collegiate football, and splathering the minutia of my daily life all over the internet. Ha.

I belong to this church.  It is awesome!  You can visit for free if you want to.  We frequently have homemade cookies on hand. Because I like theology, free cookies, AND living close to the mountains, I chose to attend this school.  The culture is kooky there. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Psychology in April 2011.

Until May 2011, I worked as a parking appeals secretary at BYU PD, along with some of the best people in the entire world.  It was there I was reminded that (a) an alarming percentage of people are complete morons, and (b) an impressive percentage of people are amazingly awesome.

Also, I am narcoleptic. Seriously.

This is a public blog, so names and locations have been (clumsily) hidden to protect the innocent and the not so innocent.  I would oh-so-appreciate it if my lovely commentators who know me in person respect my (pseudo-)anonymity.  Muchos gracias!

Here, have a picture; exposure to my pretentiousness is free of charge.

  1. Google directed me to you when I searched for “No. Shan’t.” after tweeting that phrase today, and in the relevant post you also used a quote from Anastasia that I use often and thought no one else recognized. Interesting.

Since I also like theology and want to drive an Aston Martin , I think I’ll keep reading. Great blog!
